Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and CleverType by Pole ("we", "us"), the maker of CleverParro, for your use of the CleverParro Android app (package com.cleverparro.voice) and cleverparro.com. By installing or using CleverParro you accept them, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Using CleverParro

You must be 18 or older

If the law where you live sets a different age for agreeing to terms like these, that age applies instead.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use CleverParro on Android devices you own or control. You may not copy, sell, rent, modify or reverse engineer the app, or use it to build a competing product.

Permissions

CleverParro needs the Microphone, Display over other apps and Accessibility permissions to work. Granting them is your choice; turning any of them off stops voice typing until you turn it back on. How each permission is used is explained in the Privacy Policy.

It needs the internet

Your voice is transcribed on our servers. Without a connection the bubble shows an error and nothing is sent. Mobile data charges from your carrier are yours.

Accounts

The free trial needs no account. To subscribe you sign in with Google or a verified email address. Keep your login private and tell us if someone else uses it. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.

Updates

We may update CleverParro, change features, or stop supporting old versions. Some updates may be required to keep using the app.

AI output can be wrong

CleverParro uses AI to turn speech into text and to improve it. It can mishear, mistranslate or change meaning. Check the text before you send it, especially for anything important, and do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or emergency communication.

Free trial

Every new phone gets a free trial of 3 minutes of recorded voice typing. No card is needed and nothing is charged. The trial is counted in seconds of audio, not days, and the remaining amount is shown on the Home screen.

The trial is granted once per device. Reinstalling the app or signing in with a different account on the same phone does not give a new trial; the remaining seconds carry over.
If you sign in with Google or email during the trial, the remaining seconds move to your account. If the account already has trial time, you keep the larger amount.
When the trial reaches zero, CleverParro pauses until you subscribe. Improve tools also stop working at that point.
We may change the length of the trial for new users at any time.

Subscriptions

CleverParro Premium removes the limit and lets you dictate as much as you like, in every app and every language.

Billed through Google Play

Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription bought in the app and charged to your Google Play account. The price is shown in your local currency on the subscription screen before you confirm, and Google collects any applicable tax.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Google charges the renewal to your Google Play payment method.

Cancelling

Cancel any time in Google Play (Subscriptions) or from Manage on the Home screen. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for; after that the app returns to the paused state. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

Refunds

Payments are generally final and we do not give refunds or credits for unused time. Refund requests go through Google Play, whose refund policy applies. If the law in your country gives you a right to withdraw or a refund, that right is not affected. If you were charged twice or charged in error, write to us and we will sort it out with Google.

Price changes

We may change the subscription price. Google will tell you before a new price applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

Offers

From time to time we may show a discounted or introductory price, for example a reduced price for the first billing periods. Whether you are eligible is decided by Google Play. After the discounted periods end, the standard price applies.

Restore

On a new phone, sign in with the same account and tap Restore purchase. A subscription is tied to the account that bought it and cannot be moved to another account.

Your content

It stays yours

The audio you record, the text CleverParro inserts and the text you ask an Improve tool to change are yours. We claim no ownership. We only need the right to process them to deliver the result you asked for, and we do not use them to train AI models.

Custom tools

You can write your own Improve tools with instructions up to 2000 characters. They are stored with your account so they follow you between devices. Do not put passwords, other people's personal data or anything you are not allowed to share into a tool's instructions.

You are responsible for what you dictate

CleverParro types what you say into other apps. What you send, and whom you send it to, is your responsibility. Only record people with their knowledge where the law requires it.

Our content

The CleverParro name, the mascot, the app's design, code, animations and text are ours or our licensors'. You may not use them without our written permission.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we can use them without owing you anything.

Acceptable use

Do not use CleverParro to:

Break the law, or dictate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
Record someone without consent where consent is required.
Try to make the AI ignore its instructions, reveal our prompts, or do anything other than transform the text you gave it.
Send automated or scripted requests, share one account between many people, or go around the rate limits, the trial limit or the subscription check.
Probe, scan or attack our servers, or interfere with other users' service.
Resell or redistribute the app or the service.

We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without a refund.

Liability

CleverParro is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transcriptions will be accurate.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of CleverParro, including text that was misheard, mistranslated, inserted into the wrong field or sent to the wrong person. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to cover us against claims from third parties that arise from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the app.

Some countries do not allow these limits. If that is the case where you live, they apply only as far as the law permits, and you may have other rights.

Termination

You can stop using CleverParro at any time by uninstalling it or deleting your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue CleverParro while you have an active subscription, we will tell you in advance and you will not be charged again. The sections on your content, liability, governing law and anything else that by its nature should survive will survive termination.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or from the use of CleverParro is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the district of Kerala, India.

We will first try to settle any dispute amicably within 30 days of it being raised. If that fails, the dispute will be resolved by arbitration under the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a single arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement. If we cannot agree on one, each side appoints an arbitrator and those two appoint a presiding arbitrator. The arbitration is conducted in English, with its seat in Karnataka, and the award is final and binding.

Nothing in this section takes away consumer rights you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app and, if you have an account, by email, before it takes effect. If you keep using CleverParro after the change, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and cancel any subscription in Google Play.
